Farewell Dayton’s

This is a little tidbit on Farewell Dayton’s. I was inspired by Marilyn Henrion to explore manipulating an image in Photoshop. By applying special effects along with colorizing the image I came up with an exciting piece. Once printed on fabric I hand stitched it with a running stitch. It transformed it into an amazing piece. The frosting on the cake was a tweet by the Star and Tribune’s critic Rick Nelson that it was his favorite piece in the State Fair Fine Arts Bldg. Plus, a retiree from Dayton’s purchased a second piece from me !!!
